Our stack

We support open source, and when we pay for something we buy European first. This page lists what actually runs Cyberfu: what each piece does for us, where it comes from, and where we think it could still be better.

Open source by default. Where a good open-source tool exists, we run it ourselves: PocketID for sign-in, Coolify for deployments, n8n and ntfy for automation, all self-hosted on our own servers. Our products are built the same way: Mocktail is vanilla JavaScript with no framework, and prayertimes.tr is Go and Astro over official public data.
European first, honestly. When we buy, European providers get the first look: Hetzner and Naranja.tech for servers, Soverin and Brevo for email, Mollie for payments, IONOS for domains, Sipgate for voice. Where nothing European is good enough yet, we say so instead of pretending. GitLab is American; it is the strongest home for our code today, and we move the moment that changes. Servers for Cyberfu's own workloads. German datacentres, sensible prices, no drama.

Email, voice & messaging

Our company mailboxes. Privacy-first email with no advertising business attached.
Brevo France
Outbound email for our apps: contact forms and notifications go through its SMTP relay, with a separate key per app.
Sipgate Germany
Our hosted landline: a virtual number at no base cost, with pay-as-you-go credit when calls need making.
Element / Matrix Open protocolUK
Decentralised, interoperable messaging. We back open standards over walled gardens.
Signal Open sourceUS-based
End-to-end encrypted messaging for anything sensitive. Not European, but the encryption is honest and the code is public.

Also supported where a client needs it. We would rather use Mollie where possible, and we say so.

Notes in plain Markdown files on our own disk. No cloud lock-in, works offline forever.
